What is Long Service Leave?
Long service leave (LSL) is paid leave for employees who have served a long continuous period with the same employer. In most Australian states you earn about 8.667 weeks after 10 years of continuous service, then further leave for each extra year. Rules vary by state and some allow pro-rata payment from 7 years.
